COMMUNION STEWARDS FOR THE HOMEBOUND AND THOSE IN CARE FACILITIES

Represent the church by sharing Christ’s love through the sacrament of Holy Communion with the one who is living in a care facility or who is homebound

Pick up traveling communion bag from the altar after worship and communion liturgy

After a brief visit, use the liturgy provided as you “extend the table” to the one unable to be served during worship

Report any concerns about the member to Pastor Donna

Time commitment: approximately 30 minutes per person

HOSPITAL FOLLOW-UP CALLS

Represent the church by sharing Christ’s love through a brief, friendly call to persons after they are discharged from the hospital

A list of persons to call will be emailed to callers with the persons’ phone numbers

Express the church’s continued concern, prayers, and support during their time of recovery

Time commitment: varies dependent upon number, but calls are brief (5-10 minutes) as the person is still recovering

CALL TEAM FOR ABSENT MEMBERS

Callers express care for the members and determine if there is a need or concern that has caused the members to miss worship

Needs or concerns are communicated to Pastor Donna
