  • Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit housing organization working locally and in nearly 1,400 communities across the United States and in approximately 70 countries around the world. • Inter-Agency Network Partnership

For the past several years, representatives, from local non-profits, schools, and churches, have been gathering monthly to meet and network to serve our community the best way possible. The first Tuesday of each month, you will find 35-50 people in the fellowship hall of KFUMC who are passionate about serving the least, the last and the lost in our community.

  • mentoring

The Kerrville Independent School District Mentoring Program is looking for adults who can offer encouragement, friendship, and a caring presence in the life of a young person. Mentors only need to have a desire to help a child, be able to commit one hour a week, and go through a background check. Students see their mentors as role-models, people they can look up to, and this relationship often leads to improved self-esteem and elevated classroom performance.

Contact Laurie Rees, Mentoring Coordinator, at 257-2200, ext. 2051 for more information or to sign-up today!

  • MOBILE FOOD PANTRY PARTNERS WITH KFUMC

The San Antonio Food Bank Mobile Pantry program is an opportunity for our partner agencies to bring a bigger yield of perishable and non-perishable food directly to clients.

On the day of the event, the Mobile Pantry comes filled with a variety of produce, frozen and refrigerated product to provide supplemental food assistance to qualified families and individuals. The truck arrives from the San Antonio Food Bank around 10 AM and we always need help sorting and organizing the food and then help distributing it.
