BELIEFS

GOD

We believe in the one true God, who has and will eternally exist in three persons, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He created the universe and all that is in it, and is the Sovereign ruler and Preserver of all things visible and invisible. He is infinite in power, wisdom, justice, goodness and love, and rules with gracious regard for the well-being and salvation of men, to the glory of His Name.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only eternally begotten Son of God, who was born of the Virgin Mary, by the power of the Holy Spirit, the eternal word made flesh. In Him the divine and human natures are perfectly and inseparably united. While on earth, Jesus was crucified, He died and was buried. He then triumphantly rose from the grave, appeared to His disciples, and ascended to heaven where He remains until the time when He will return to judge the living and the dead. Through His life, death and resurrection He achieves atonement, redemption and eternal new life for all who place their faith in Him.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit is completely one with and distinct from God the Father and Jesus Christ. He convinces the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit leads humans into fellowship with Christ and God the Father through new birth and gives gifts to all believers for the edification of His Church. He dwells in all believers, comforting, teaching, sustaining, empowering and sanctifying them, leading them into truth.

THE HOLY BIBLE

We believe that the Bible is the eternal, unchanging, authoritative word of God, written by men. It is without error in the original manuscripts and contains all that is necessary for salvation.

THE CHURCH

The Church is a worldwide community of true believers under the Lordship of Christ. It is the redemptive fellowship in which the Word of God is preached by persons divinely called and the sacraments are duly administered according to Christ’s own appointment. Under the discipline of the Holy Spirit, the Church exists for the maintenance of worship, the edification of believers, and the redemption of the world, to the glory of God.
