Worship

At First United Methodist Church, God is worshiped through singing, prayer, and hearing God's Word preached. We do not preach our own wisdom, but the wisdom that comes from God, as revealed in the Bible, trusting its authority and power to change lives and allow us to see the beauty and love of God more clearly. Come expecting to meet with God alongside a loving and welcoming community!

Everyone is Welcome!

We offer a professionally staffed nursery available in the Education Building where kids ages 3 and under are nurtured and cared for. However, we love to see children of all ages in our worship services as well. We also have Sunday School classes for people of all ages.

Contemporary Worship

(11:15 am)

This worship service offers the

opportunity to encounter God through a simplified format of modern worship

music and  relevant Scriptural teaching.

Sanctuary Services

(8:15, 9:30, and 10:45)

The traditional services feature congregational singing, piano, organ, and instrumental music. Our singing of hymns is led by Dr. David Baker, along with a choir full of rich voices. We are blessed to have Dr. Sabrina Adrian, a marvelous organist, who also leads in this service. The historic liturgy of the church guides our corporate prayers and directs our worship experience.

Communion, Baptism, and Spiritual Leadership

Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of every month.

Baptism can be celebrated at any service,

but we encourage you to speak with a pastor about scheduling the sacred moment.

Senior Pastor Rev. David Payne and Associate Pastor Dr. Donna Magee

provide spiritual leadership for the entire church.
