David became the Sr. Pastor of KFUMC in July of 2017. He attended Asbury Theological Seminary and has also pastored at Los Fresnos UMC, Bee Creek UMC (a church he helped to start), and Harlingen FUMC. David is married to Lori (a Special Education teacher), and they have two daughters, Sydney (married to Taylor Chamness) and Haley. He also has a brand new granddaughter named Denver Mae.
David enjoys golf, downhill skiing, and enjoying the outdoors. David and Lori have three "fur babies:" Sparkle, Sadie, and Sophie.
"I'm still amazed that God has given someone like me the privilege of being a pastor," says David. "If he is willing to offer me grace, hope, love, and joy then I'm going to do my best to offer the same to others. I'm willing to try anything and everything... go anywhere and everywhere... at anytime and every time to make sure that anyone and everyone knows how much they are loved by Jesus!"
Donna joined the clergy staff of KFUMC in August 2013. Prior to this, Donna was an educator, having served as a teacher and administrator, and consultant in public education.
Donna is married to Dan, a semi-retired petroleum engineer. She has a step-daughter, Darla, who lives in North Carolina. Donna and Dan have an affinity for short-haired, red miniature dachshunds. Currently, Maddy is the queen of their home.
Donna completed her education through the Course of Study program at Perkins School of Theology in Dallas. In addition to the outdoors, Donna enjoys reading and talking to others about Jesus and his grace and love.
Kevin joined the clergy staff at KFUMC in July 2018 after serving churches in Portland and Taft, near Corpus Christi. A native of Tyler, Texas, Kevin is a graduate of UT-Austin and Duke Divinity School. He is an ordained Elder in the Rio Texas Conference of the UMC.
Kevin has a passion for connecting people to Christ and to the Church. As Associate Pastor, he primarily focuses on the areas of discipleship, membership, and creating new ministries with young adults in the Kerrville area.
Kevin is married to Allie, a nurse case manager at Peterson, and they have a beautiful daughter, Harper and a new baby boy named Spencer. The Portwoods have a springer spaniel named River!
When not "pastoring", you can find Kevin watching an irresponsible amount of sports on TV, eating lunch at a favorite restaurant, playing golf at Riverhill (or wherever he’s invited!), doing the NY Times crossword puzzle, or exploring the hills and rivers with his family.
