Once again, God blessed us with an amazing day to love our neighbors!!! Thank you to the most incredible unpaid servants in the world! Today, we shared food and hope with 358 families. That equals 1,009 people that will not go to bed hungry tonight. Praise God for this privilege to help our neighbors!

LIGHT on the HILL @ Mt Wesley: COVID-19 OUTREACH EFFORTS
We have focused our local outreach efforts on food relief. What a blessing and an honor to be able to share a tangible expression of Christ’s love with our neighbors!
Through March 2021, Mustard Seed Ministries has hosted 39 drive-thru mobile pantries, hosted 12 mega distribution for the SAFB, and made 2,253 home deliveries to people without transportation or who are homebound.
All-together, as of April 1, 2021, we have helped 25,375 people, and 9,118 families.
We have shared 584,105 pounds of food with our neighbors in need.
We have received so much support from our church family, our community, and the San Antonio Food Bank. Together, we can make a difference!

KERRVILLE, Texas — Unemployment has not discriminated due to population size.
Northwest of San Antonio, in Kerr County, more families are looking for resources to meet their needs.
A food pantry in Kerrville is hoping to help hundreds of families in need.
“It’s people helping people, neighbors helping neighbors,” said Beth Palmer, the Outreach Coordinator for Kerville United Methodist Church and Light on the Hill.
The ministry hosted their first mass food distribution Monday. Volunteers from several Kerrville churches and groups lent a hand.
“We don’t want anyone to be hungry in this time,” said Palmer.
Usually, the group provides 12,000 pounds of food per month to the community, but they received almost 64,000 pounds of food from the San Antonio Food Bank to feed even more families.
“We are still serving those neighbors, but we’re also serving a lot of younger folks and families who all of a sudden their jobs are, you know, they aren’t able to work right now,” Beth Palmer of Light on the Hill said.
Palmer expected the distribution to feed around 600 families.
“We are so grateful that we are able to do this,” said Palmer.
There is a Food Relief Hotline set up for families in Kerr County. Callers will learn dates and times of future food distributions and can even schedule a delivery if they don’t have transportation.
To reach the Kerr County Food Relief Hotline, call (830) 258-1234.
