Music Ministries at KFUMC

Digital Youth Media Team

The Digital Youth Media Team are a group of tech-savvy junior and senior high students who enjoy helping during worship on Sunday mornings. They run a program called Pro-Presenter, which displays worship liturgy on the screens in the sanctuary, and they also run the sound board. They rotate on Sunday mornings for the 8:30 & 10:30 AM worship services. Please contact haley.montoya@kfumc.org if you are interested. No experience is necessary.

Early Service

The 8:30 service supplies special music offerings to our congregation. This is a space for those who have a joy and passion for sharing music as a soloist or part of a small ensemble. Vocalists and instrumentalists welcome. 


Giving Voice

This is a community choir that shares the joy of old and cherished songs alongside our memory care friends. Any age and musical ability is welcome.  We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at the KFUMC choir room from 1:30-2:00. 


KFUMC Mixed Choir

This is a mixed choir where any age and musical ability is welcome. We meet Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm in the choir room from 9/8/21-6/29/22. This is a choir for any singer who wants to share the joy of music in worship. We will sing a variety of music with exciting collaborations with orchestra and instrumentalists during the Christmas and Easter seasons. 


KFUMC Ringers

This is a handbell/chimes choir for any age and musical ability. This is a non-singing group that will explore beautiful handbell/chime music and will have the opportunity to play collaboratively with other KFUMC music ensembles. This group meets for two sessions a year: Fall and Spring. 


Saints Alive

This is a choir for any community member who enjoys singing old fun and familiar songs that span popular, church, gospel, and country music genres. Any age and musical ability are welcome. We meet on Tuesdays at 9:30am in the KFUMC choir room and then sing weekly at the Kerrville care facilities. We have two sessions a year: Fall and Spring. 


Sassy Lassies

This is a choir for women of any age and musical ability. We meet Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm in the choir room from 9/8/21-6/29/22. This is a choir for any Sassy Lassie who wants to share the joy of music in worship. We will sing a variety of 2, 3, and 4+ part music. 


Sing-A-Long

This is a group of singers who enjoy sharing the joy of music and communion with 4 care facilities in Kerrville. We visit each of the 4 facilities once a month and meet at the property to share some old and fun favorites with the residents. Weekly times are established via email.
